Gannet Sula bassana A juvenile gannet on the William Girling Reservoir 16-11-96 which was taken into care after indulging in a bag of sprats- 46kb, am.
Bittern Botaurus stellaris Phil Vines took these amazing photos of a bittern in front of the Bittern Watchpoint, at Fisher's Green in the Lee Valley Park, on Monday 23rd October 2000. One captures the bird on the door, and four shows the catching of a fish. 60-70kb. Aythya hybrid resembling Lesser Scaup Aythya affinis This drake Aythya hybird was present for some weeks in the channel by the Bitern Watchpoint and was photographed by Phil Vines on 4-2-2000, 48kb. Paul Roper - I also took a lot of photos of this and sent them to a duck expert.   He concluded that this bird was infact a Tuffted X Scaup.
